MANTA
Urban first response drone
Accidents occur every day. In Ontario alone there 30-3800 vehicle related accidents, more than 18000 cycling incidents, and over 200 construction related injuries. These are some of the many unpredictable occurrences that happen in urban environments. These incidents can be potentially fatal, and rely on potentially long travel times by ambulances through dense city infrastructure. Manta is a first response drone that is deployed once a 911 call is made. It is designed to deliver temporary medical supplies so that injured individuals or bystanders can assist in stabilizing the patient before ambulances arrive. Using integration from map services, and AI assisted movement, Manta is able to arrive in the most efficient way. The integrated medical library and voice command system allow people to have guidance in assisting and stabilizing injured users with step-by-step instructions.
